One way around is to put a small 1 px transparent gif at the top of the
page and link it to a bookmark where the content actually starts. That
gives the folks using an accessible browser the option to skip the
navigation. If you choose that option you should also add a link back to
the menu in the content.

nn4 which is just wicked! however, with this method i can still not have
the flow of my xhtml the way i want it which is very unfortunate for
handicapped people that will first have to listen to the many menu items
