I just want to update the group.
Thanks to the feedback from the group, I was able to convince
the client to change some of the features:
1. The navigation labels are immediately visible when accessing
the site.
2. I was able to convince him to 'not' have the navigation
buttons 'flashing'.
3. I have Inserted a 'loading' message in the beginning.
4. I have been able to modify the Portrait Gallery pages by
only having a maximum of 3 small images on a row which
gives the larger images more room to popup when the
mouse is over the smaller image.
I have suggested to him that the Performairs gallery pages be
split into 3 separate pages, to cut back on loading time. He
says he is thinking about it.
I have modified the code for each mpg on the Movie Gallery
pages to try to get the movies loading faster.
He won't let me put a 'skip intro' button on the front page.
I have been able to decrease the size of the flash movie from
545 kbytes, to 414 kbytes. I'm am currently working on
decreasing the size some more which will speed up the
loading time. I have 'no cache' meta tags, but when I
took them out, the page took even longer to load because
it had to copy all the images, etc. to the cache, so at the
present time, the 'no cache' stays in.
