Thank you for your help. I was using application/octet-stream so that my client's custom music mp3 files would open up a "save-as" dialog box rather than just start downloading to the user's computer. Your trick to eliminate the hyphen worked, but it is still not opening a save-as dialog box. hmm.... any suggestions or ideas???????
Thanks, Jim (Posting this back on-list as others may be better able to help) I'm not sure that this is possible via htaccess, as it may also depend upon the user/client configuration as well. Perhaps a scripted alternative using Jave/JS or PHP?
