MOU, never meant you shouldn't use the Tantek hack. I use the hack myself.
Playing with the width just provides an additional and sometimes alternate means to the same end. I'm just trying to avoid the old problem of having to keep adding code and more code and still more code to cope with browser idiosyncrasies. Most times it works. Sometimes it doesn't.
