1. Please do not use all caps when posting on the net. It is the textual

2. You may find that posting requests to relevant forums/lists will
yield a higher success rate. This is a web developer's forum, you are
quite unlikely to get your COBOL queries answered here.
3. However, this is your lucky day. :) I had the fortune to do COBOL a
few lightyears ago, and I'll assume you are talking about COBOL 85. The
FD and SD sections are the "File Description" and "(File) Sort
Description". Assuming that you are working on COBOL, have you had any
hands-on experience coding these sections? They are fairly self-evident!
Holler if you need more specific help, with a little bit of explanation
of what exactly you want to know.
