Thanks Will. I'm on 7.0, and ti has the same options. But even on "smooth" the text still looks choppy.

In 6.0, you click the text tool, select where you want the text and start typing. When you select where you want the text, a bar should appear at the top that has the following anti-alias options: none, crisp, strong, and smooth. Highlight your text, then select one of these to anti-alias.
