Hate to break it to you all, but this isn't new, it's just a new way of using existing technology. I'm guessing it uses the "NET SEND" command, standard on all computers running NT, 2000 or XP.
This is easy to use, guess and IP address, open up your command prompt and type: net send 192.168.101.97 "This is an advert" replacing the ip address with your own IP and you'll get a message. Then try sending it to another pc on your network, just "ping" their computer name and use the IP instead of the one above. Fancy sending one to the entire subnet? just replace the last section of the IP address with .255 - just don't blame me whent he sysadmin asks about all the new network traffic! Turing off the netBios ports (which ZA does automatically AFAIK) should stop this.
