I found a program called dbextract that can recover dbx files to
text.
Unfortunately, I don't remember where I found it. Try a google
search.

Subject: [wdvltalk] Outlook Express Question

A friend backed up her Outlook emails just prior to Klez totally
trashing her machine, and we can't figure out how to restore the
old
emails. They saved with a .dbx extension and the error message is
that
it's not a valid Win32 app.

Any ideas??

TIA,
Brenda
