As the final part of a course I'm doing at the moment I need to come up with
a proposal for a CMS I'm designing. Besides a client survey & showing how
much more efficient the site updates would be, any ideas as to what else I
could include? this is really important and our instructor won't give us/me
any advice as to what approach I should be taking or what stuff I should be
covering in the proposal.
1. You could include the ability to 'age' content, so that anything that has passed its 'show till date' can be excluded. This is useful for those people who have a great idea for a 'regular column' and who abandon it after two items. Their items - and the sidebar links to them - can be removed.

2. You could include the ability to generate meta tags for search engines, depending on which meta tags are still used by the SEs.

3. Internal searches on your site can be improved in a number of ways, including using counts to 'rate' content. You might even include a 'the people who read this also read these' list.

Regards,
David
