i *think* you want the 'caption' tag on the table/table headers.

have a look at the w3c accessibility pages.  should be links to audio
readers from there.  i *think* jaws is a common one.  also, what about
pages like the royal national institute for the blinds campaign for good
web design might help:

there's also the caption tag on tables and table headers:
   http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG10/wai-pageauth.html#tech-table-summaries

but don't forget that tables are read side to side so they might not
sound how you'd expect!
