Hi,
I have a linksys router, and a linksys network card for my laptop.
I also have a wireless usb network adaptor that was being used
on another computer in our home, but we no longer have a 2nd
desktop computer here so it's been retired to the box it came in.
^^^ First question: ^^^
does the wireless usb network adaptor get any
better range than the card for my laptop does?
The router is set up on my desktop, the card goes w/me in my
laptop case, but of course is useless from my work location
approximately a 1/2-3/4 mile away, so I have to work off a cell
phone connection which is painfully slowwwwwww.
^^^ Second question: ^^^
Has some genius somewhere come up w/any new products that I
could tote along w/me to hook up to my laptop/card somehow
that will extend the range of my router which is hooked up to my
cable modem at home? I started perusing the linksys website, but being
the network dummy that I am, I could be staring at the solution
and not know it.
Thanks,
Deb
