Hi Friends, Thanks for the tips! I did find a shareware package to work and also recreated it through Photoshop ImageReady, just to see how it works.

It has many of the same practical features of Photoshop (especially the MX version) and you don't need a 4 year degree to figure out how to use them :) I also have Fireworks... haven't looked much at it yet, mostly because I can't figure out where it fits in the scheme of things. You've got Flash, Fireworks, ColdFusion, Freehand, and all this MX stuff. They all seem to have a fair amount of crossover. Does anyone have a resource to explain where they all fit in, or can it be explained in a brief bulleted list? And its a snap to export a transparent gif as >well...=20 I have found that while you can use Flash to export a gif image, you can get a lot better control of your file sizes using Macromedia's Fireworks. If you are a Flash user and have not tried this program...you're gonna love it. It has many of the same practical features of photoshop (especially the MX version) and you don't need a 4 year degree to figure out how to use them :) The interface and tools are very similar to what you are using in Flash. I have been using this program on a daily basis for several years now and have only needed to use Photoshop a few times since.
