Hi Friends,

Thanks for the tips! I did find a shareware package to work and also
recreated it through Photoshop ImageReady, just to see how it works.

I also have Fireworks... haven't looked much at it yet, mostly because I
can't figure out where it fits in the scheme of things. You've got Flash,
Fireworks, ColdFusion, Freehand, and all this MX stuff. They all seem to
have a fair amount of crossover. Does anyone have a resource to explain
where they all fit in, or can it be explained in a brief bulleted list?

Thanks again,

Dave

I have found that while you can use Flash to export a gif
image, you can get a lot better control of your file sizes
using Macromedia's Fireworks. If you are a Flash user and
have not tried this program...you're gonna love it. It has
many of the same practical features of photoshop
(especially the MX version) and you don't need a 4 year
degree to figure out how to use them :) The interface and
tools are very similar to what you are using in Flash. I
have been using this program on a daily basis for several
years now and have only needed to use Photoshop a few times
since.

Good Luck,
