well it got me going, I was thinking there was yet another flavour out there.....lol
Me too :) I thought "now where did this come from?" :)
We use MacOS, Windwos 98 and linux here. We prefer debian because of the ease of administration plus it is a community project (i.e. hundreds of developers are involved). Redhat we use because we have to - the Filemaker Pro Server linux binary is only supported under redhat atm. I believe other major players such as IBM are releasing binaries for redhat only - but I could be wrong. So redhat is sort of compulsory for us re providing file servers for our clients. For internet gateways, web servers, mail servers, etc we use debian.
As far as GUI's for linux - can't comment as we just use command line.
Glad you got something out of the report - it scared me enough to post it to all the lists I belong to!
