Some time ago I asked all of you for input on clip art and photos for using on our company website. We searched high and low and pulled out a few hairs in the process and this is what we ended up with:
First we purchased Hemera's Photo Objects 50,000 Volume II, but found the images would not fit our needs as most of them were too dated or too artsy for our needs. So, we returned it. We were looking for quality photos on a variety of subjects. What we went with was a subscription through Corbis Bizpresenter (http://bizpresenter.corbis.com/). For $199.99 you get 25 images (web usage) that can be selected within a one-year time frame. Smaller packages are also available. They have a decent search engine and a large inventory of images covering almost all subjects. - I just checked their site and they are offering a 20% savings right now, which puts the 25-image package at $159.99. Also, we found that some of the free images available on Microsoft Design Gallery Live (http://dgl.microsoft.com/) were adequate for our needs depending on the subject.
