I appreciate that you're not trying to offend anyone, but personally I'd rather not see political commentary on the (main) list. The world is very divided at the moment about who's right, who's wrong, what constitutes "terrorism", etc ... so there's a lot of possibility for acrimony and disagreement. I'd rather see this list stick to web development :)
