We've all had similar experiences at some time I am sure, so can sympathise (and empathise!). After it happened to me I started a regular daily backup for the first time ever. I get Outlook to pop up and remind me about 4 every day just when it's time to start clearing up for the day.
Hopefully it will never happen to me again! I also make interim (temporary) backups of anything that has proved to be a difficult project or that I might need in case of an "argument" on floppy, just in case everything goes phut before backup time!!

Site files, png source files, etc... all gone. at this stage I'm just grateful that the machine is in working order again!! lol
