I'm now wondering if writing an interface to an IRC deamon is your best
bet! ;)

You could set it up so that if your logged in as a moderator, the
userlist turns into links with usernames and ids that change the logged
in field, if you wanted to ban people, you could block their IP address
(Get it when they sign up) or just delete the user from the db?
