Hi Scott, I have been using CodeCharge for over a year now. I haven't seen anything really to touch it yet. It is really quick for developing applications (once you are over the initial learning curve - I developed an asp.net forum with customisation in an afternoon !) So, if development time is an issue, then this is a great product. If you are a code purist, then you aren't going to like anything that writes your code anyway so dont bother. :o) Our firm is a small business and the work turnover time is really important, so we have greatly benefited from using Codecharge.
The downsides are the documentation for it is really poor and examples/tutorials are thin on the ground. However, if you need help there is the users forum (and I am more than happy to help if I can). Also, we use it a lot for developing administration sections, which can be knocked up in no time with CC, but sometimes it can be a pain to integrate it with the html our designers give us for the front end, so dont chuck away your fav editor ( we use it in conjunction with both dreamweaver and visual studio - whichever is appropriate to the job for the front ends. ) Overall though, I think its a great tool and last time I looked it was still reasonably priced for what it offers. It also offers several free applications which you can use as they are or customise, and you can sell them as if they were your own.
