$10.99 for a "custom" coffee mug. I was just at the mall this afternoon and there's a camera place that does custom stuff on the spot with scanned pictures. They charge $15 for a coffee mug with a picture on it.

I generally agree that their prices are high, but it's better than nothing. <smile>

I just took a look at CafePress. Don't they seem just a bit expensive?
$10.99 for a coffee mug? I'd love to do some test selling of shirts, sweats
and mugs with my logo on it for my herb business. I don't want to spend a
fortune for the product, and at this point, I don't want to buy 75 of each
either. Oh well.

I showed off my CafePress store this morning with my client's logo on
various products at their weekly sales meeting and so far this afternoon
I've sold about 20 items.

I've also ordered 4 things myself.

I'm hoping to have products for most of my clients available for sale by
the end of the week. I'm gonna do a mailing to all of them before
Thanksgiving so when they start Christmas shopping they'll keep this stuff
in mind.

My meeting this morning was with a real estate firm and I mentioned to all
of the agents at the sales meeting that for a nominal fee, I would happily
scan pictures or take digital pictures and add products they can purchase
for gifts to family members. More importantly, I suggested they may want
to buy an item with a logo and their contact info (such as a coffee mug)
and give it to clients when they sell a house as a "house-warming
gift". They ALL seemed to love that idea.

When I showed the site to my wife this morning, she had me upload a picture
of her cat so that she could buy a mug. Of course, I know better than to
try and charge her for my time.
