Download PowerToys for Windows XP and you can upgrade to the .NET 1.1 framework and still keep your auto login. The probably reason you didn't have it was because the .NET framework tightened security.
TweakUI from the PowerToys set is one of the very first things I install. I hate the "shortcut to" that is the default on all shortcuts, I don't want animation on my page, etc. and TweakUI lets me get rid of all of those things and customize more. Cheryl D. I installed 1.1 and it swapped out my opening screen (I have it ste up so that I don't have to login) and presented me w/a login screen each time which I hated. So, this morn I did a rollback and grabbed v1.0 of .net framework and installed that instead and that got rid of the login problem.
