I agree that they are different that's why I put the comment in as a quote.
I don't know of any current browsers that don't honor it. From the one chart I saw basically all browsers post NN 3 and IE 4 will honor it but the chart I saw was out of date (on Netscape's Developers site) so I don't know about Mozilla/Firebird, Opera 7 or any Linux browsers. I just thought I'd pass along that it doesn't validate in case anyone was concerned about validation. Cheryl D. So is good for enclosing something like a brand name or even a date: blah blah blah 12-Dec-2003 blah ...would stop line wrapping inside the date If you know of a browser (with more than a 1% market share) that doesn't honor please tell me as I rely on it quite a bit whenever necessary. ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Send Your Posts To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To set a personal password send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the words: "set WDVLTALK pw=yourpassword" in the body of the email.
