Definitely not! has no effect at all (in IE6) - at least
stops line wrapping, but span doesn't even do that. But
is no good for putting round a single word, because being a block element it goes on a line by itself as
would. Before you ask, has absolutely no effect either. Wrapping only has meaning within a block element like a div or a table cell. Sorry! it's for me. Incidentally for those obsessed with making their site conform to a standard, the content should really be written in the French language, which as far as I know is the only one controlled by a standards body (the Academie Francaise). English is completely non standard in spelling and usage. :o) Bj ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Send Your Posts To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To set a personal password send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the words: "set WDVLTALK pw=yourpassword" in the body of the email.
