Aside from almost reaching for the beer while testing what NN4.7 chew it up & spat it out as, I think I'm nearly there with this now - client now convinced that the onload advertising pop-ups for whsmith.co.uk have to go, & it was really good being able to cite your feedback, but the retail side is not happy about it.... to the extent that they're being iffy about reciprocal links back to the Book Awards. I am ****so**** glad I no longer work in a large organisation where the divisions are in competition with each other. The aim is to build the site with information from publishers about the authors, other titles, general info on current books etc... but I'm not counting any chickens just yet.

Can I beg a bit of indulgence & ask people to put a test vote thru, & let me know if the tab navigation's better now I've taken your advice? I'm also trying to test if the source & marketing codes work together at the same time as the vote coming thru on the mySQL which is a bit difficult when it's 4a.m. so if you go through
http://www.whsmithbookawards.co.uk/woodville
or http://www.whsmithbookawards.co.uk/usa
& I might manage a small prize draw on the side for a chocolate orange or two...I don't think beer would get over the water safely!
I'm supposed to be running the day to day operations on the support side from monday hence the late nights trying to make certain I *don't* have voting form queries...

Like all these things it'd be better without the client giving screeds of minor amendments at your elbow, but I'm beginning to feel I might take saturday off...

Popup free version does indeed bring up the page. I have all the pops
blocked so I can't get to the descriptions unless I use another machine or
turn off the popups.

Thanks for the feedback!

OK - there's a popup which comes up straight away on the votepage
unless you've already been to the site... I need to think about this
one - I think personally it's "drop the Dead Pop-Up" time, & a good
thing too...I couldn't preload images on the files that had it...

This version has no automated pop-up -

Is it just automated ones, or all pop-ups on your machine that are blocked?
