Thanks for your reply. I am giving this bit up for the moment. No
combination or permutation seems to put two commas or spaces in. At one
stage one comma made it, but now there are no commas or spaces and 'city'
and 'state' appear in reverse order!!
CONCAT, CONCAT_WS, COALESCE, without COALESCE, commas in every position
with double quotes and single quotes.... Obviously it is done and so I
have to find how.
I am starting to find my way around the manual, but much of it still merges
into chaos as I look ;-). This particular one does not bow to Rudy's
advice, nor (alas) yours. Next up in my sights will probably be VIEWS
which are not supported in MySQL (yet). I am not clear what substitutes
for them, but am not rushing to solve this one either.
I have nearly finished the first trot (very lame and halting) through 'Teach
Yourself SQL in Ten Minutes'. The one thing I have certainly leaned is
for 'Minutes' read 'Hours - and then some'
