I have set up a temporary website for an organization I work with. This is not intended to be the final, professionally designed and developed site, given that we have not done the basic strategy and research work. (Which is what I normally do, rather than design and development.) But I am concerned that the site does not display as I want in Firefox as it does in IE and Opera (all on Windows).

The whole main block (blockmain) is supposed to be grey, but only the navigation panel at the left is filled in. Can anyone explain? I assume that Firefox is as intolerant of errors as its predecessors and that I've done something that the other browsers forgive.
