When I bought my CD Writer I got a copy of Nero bundled free with it. Research using Google seemed to show it was the most popular. Now, however, I've discovered that it does not back-up multi-level directories! I've sent two requests to Nero to ask if there is any way round this and got the usual answer from "Technical Support" of Zilch both times!!
Fortunately I found out before it was too late - but I need something that will handle multi-level directory copy and/or back-up automatically.
The real reason I need this (apart from doing backups) is for the work I do for Health and Safety for small firms where I want to copy several hundred documents that are in a variety of multi-level directories to give a set to each new client. These are the basic policies, procedures and so on they will need to meet legal requirements. I have them set up in Word and automatically drop their logo (if any) into each one so they get a customised set. As Nero won't do multi levels, it takes me around an hour each time to produce the CD with everything on in a way that the client can follow the logical sequence of them when producing their own manuals.
Many of my clients are barely computer literate (one or two barely literate in any form!!) so whatever I supply really does have to be the proverbial "idiot-proof"
Any suggestions for an alternative would be welcome!
Remember - it's not the document format that is the problem - it's the backup software.
