however standards and accessibility testing goes >90% of the way, the
balance you then decide whether to hack or not......unless of course you are
required to use proprietary solutions, which many are.......

I have no 'religious' view point on this, just that I have found on a
pragmatic level that if your mark-up passes W3C validation and say Bobby
testing, as a first objective, you can save a lot of development
time........then of course later I invariably make a "few" changes which I
forget to test. <grin>
