Your problem could easily be a result of a BHO (Browser Helper Object)
loaded either with or without ("drive-by install") your knowledge. To
address these issues, I used to use and recommend BHO Cop, but since
Ziff-Davis has adopted a mercenary attitude to accessing their long-free
utilities downloads, I've found another tool. Actually, it has functionality
not easily available in BHO Cop, and I prefer the UI.Go to http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/toolbarcop.htm and download ToolbarCop. Check out what's installed on your system and disable anything for which you don't know its reason for being. This will at least tell you whether the issue is or is not BHO-related, and narrow the area in which you must search for a solution. As far as I am concerned that sort of stuff is dangerous. Also run an Internet Cleanup program but both those have been running happily since long before this problem arose. I also don't like cookies and get mad when you visit a site just to make an enquiry and they say you can't because you don't have cookies enabled - or you have to register first. Well, I'm sorry but in that case I will not do business with you. British Airways take note! They lost a regular customer because of this! My wife and I now fly with any airline except them and any other that demands cookies just to check a time table or route! Next thing we know the supermarket and petrol station will want you to register before you can buy a loaf of bread or a gallon of petrol or even look in the shop window -which is what making an enquiry is all about, surely? Then if I like what I see I might decide to register, otherwise why should I have to? Peter MacGregor At 12:28 10/05/2004, you wrote: >Do you have any 3rd party add-ons in your IE?
