I'm using the same setup as you (XP Home, IE6), so I see the same colors you do. However, possibly unlike you, I am reading it with presbyopic middle-aged eyes, and if I may say so, dark text on a dark, drab (that is another name for olive, ya know ;-) background is not exactly restful nor conducive to extensive periods of reading. Given that there is not much other purpose for a blog than to promote reading its content, I would have to agree with Amanda that you might want to re-think your choices for foreground and/or background colors. Perhaps keep the hue but raise the value of the OD background to provide more contrast, or lighten the foreground for the same reason. Or just go with different colors altogether.
