Did you validate your HTML and CSS? This is the first and most important step of tableless design. Go do that now.
Don't use the box model hack. put IE in 'standards mode' (include an XHTML doctype, don't include an xml namespace or xml declaration) and enjoy the peace and tranquility of a consistent box model. IE 5.x can jump out the window as far as I'm concerned. It and it's even more retarded, older ilk constitute less than half a percent of *my* browsing population. On client sites, I rarely see IE 5.x and below gain more than five percent of the browsing population. Here's some other sources: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp AUG 2004 - 7.3% http://www.upsdell.com/BrowserNews/stat.htm AUG 2004 - 9.3% http://www.webreference.com/stats/browser.html AUG 2004 - 7.63% http://www.google.com/press/zeitgeist.html No specific stat's, it's a bar graph, but IMO, it's negligible. hth, Stephen On Wed, 11 Aug 2004 16:32:20 -0400, Rita Crisafi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > D'oh! ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Send Your Posts To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To set a personal password send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the words: "set WDVLTALK pw=yourpassword" in the body of the email.
