Mike,
You should be able to use EDIT/UNDO if you realize it quick enough. But you can also go to EDIT/PREFERENCES and the GENERAL tab where you will find UPDATE LINKS WHEN MOVING FILES and choose PROMPT ... that works for me.

Is there somewhere I can adjust a setting to make a pop up occur when I drag and drop folders? The consequences of these errors have been expensive mistakes.
