This assumes that 'poem_title' is the name of your SELECT box (in an earlier post, you had used $_POST['$poem_title'] which would be incorrect). This expression will return the VALUE of the OPTION. Customarily, that's where you would put the ID you wanted. What exactly are you getting -- the title? What do your OPTIONs look like?
