David, If Torrivieja Homes is your most important google keyword why not put it first in meta:keywords?
It looks very a competitive area and the competitors use commas. I tend to agree with Franni. On my site smilepoetryweekly.com on some keywords I find several directories with my link appear before the site itself. I think google gives ratings partly on how confident it is in a site which measure certainly includes links; how many sites link to this new site? I'll bet the established ones have all sorts of affiliate deals, and therefore links.
