I'd use DHTML for that instead of Flash. Personally I have Flash sent to
load only when I take action. Also, search engines won't like a Flash only
site.

Check and see if you are missing a closing " in one of the earlier tags.
Most likely the tag preceding the first message about missing ".

Turn off the cache or set it very low is the only way I know of.
