the best place to start however would be the manual, which is annotated with 
examples and comments
from users......

w3schools has a bit  but doesn't go much beyond 'hello world' [ not really 
true, but you get the
idea....]

there are also many geographic based user groups which are great for lurking in 
during  the learning
stage....
