I've built several shops using it and it's just gotten better and better. It's an OSCommerce fork that stops much of the inherent suckage of OSC; namely adding templating, file over-rides, a greatly improved administration panel and much better output markup. Now... all that said, It's still not XHTML... closer to HTML 4.01. The layouts do employ tables as well. However, using their templating system, it's technically possible to go straight CSS for the layout and have totally valid XHTML... it might be a bit of an undertaking though.
