LOL! Drew, Drew, Drew :) > Why tables? Database generated content? Hah! My knucklehead employers at *tries not to generate a google hit* H 0 m e s DOT c o m have only ever heard that word echo forth from my lips, after which they promptly drop to the ground and start throwing dirt on themselves in an atttempt to get "pig-clean" and wash off the voodoo curse I uttered. Seriously. I'm dragging them kicking and screaming towards standards and accessibility, but it's an uphill battle. > Why not use css for the presentation? If you are taking it from a db, I know > you have the skills to make a loop for the css. Ah, but I am using CSS for the presentation :) Just not for the positioning! Seriously. What I've got there is VERY close to being tabular data. Okay, it's definitely not, in the purest standards-thumping, semantically rich (blah blah blah) sense of the word, but it's still close. And what it lacks in semantic soundness it makes up for in being a true "grid-layout"... which tables are still, hands down, the best way to achieve it. I'm getting to where I look at everything in keystrokes. I, of course, always strive for separation of structure, behavior and presentation, but where they all start to get somewhat close in intent, I tend to err on the side of the smaller filesize. ttfn! - Stephen ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] or use the web interface http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ Send Your Posts To: [email protected] To change subscription settings, add a password or view the web interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=wdvltalk ________________ http://www.wdvl.com _______________________ You are currently subscribed to wdvltalk as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
