Yes, I've checked those and also even though I reformatted and that should have reinstalled the drivers I did just now reinstall the drivers just in case and I've still got the same problem. This is so weird. How can I have sound "sort of" is all I keep thinking! I would think either I have sound or I don't but apparently not!
