Riva, Since we copy most of what happens in the US (sometimes we get a bit ahead too) there must be places that offer refurbished old laptops capable of word processing for below $500. I would expect to find such a thing here for about �200, that's in the region of $360. Have you googled? 'old laptops' maybe, or 'wp laptops', 'secondhand laptops'. I think I saw the old IBM thinkpad around that price in one of its versions when we were searching a couple of months back.
