My Zone Alarm has stopped access tot he Internet because it says it has
detected a problem with my machine. I've worked through their clearance
routine including scanning with AVG (which is always on and updated daily
anyway) but it found one virus which it deleted. That didn't clear the
prohibition on accessing the net.
Zone Labs then say fax them if using the routine set out doesn't cure the
problem. I've done that over 24 hours ago and had no acknowledgement. This
doesn't surprise me as they have never responded to a technical query yet.
(I seem to recall other people on this list in the past have found the same
problem with their so-called Customer Service)
Any suggestions as to where to go from here? I'm thinking of perhaps
deleting ZA and installing another free trial from somewhere to try and get
going again - but to access the net now I have to work without a firewall
which I don't like.
Any help gratefully received.
TIA
Peter MacGregor
