The prices vary wildly.  A lot of it depends on the particulars of
your situation, like the volume of business you expect the shop to do,
ease of integration with the solution and your region of distribution.
Merchantability within the Continental US is much less expensive than
a global solution (say, worldpay, who nail you with innumerable tiny
fees that add up in a major way).  I tend to start at the
Authorize.net reseller list [1] and go from there.  For what it's
worth, I've found CyberAuthorize [2] to be reliable and not overly
expensive and for me have the added benefit of having a geographically
close office (don't know why it should matter to me, but it does... in
matters of money, I like to be able to look someone in the eye when
needed).
