I have a client based in Singapore in need of a very basic form to
accept
credit card payments for the sale of one product. What are his
options?

I've heard of WorldPay but I read on their site that it take 7-10
days to
setup an account and they do a credit check? That sounds pretty
invasive
for the client?

Perhaps I am simply ignorant in these matters, having never myself accepted
credit cards, or maybe it's just that expectations are different in
Singapore, but I would be surprised if a company which was contemplating
authorizing a vendor to accept credit cards did _not_ run a credit check. Am
I being too cynical, or are business practices in the credit industry more
lax than I imagined?
Cheers,
Scott
