I hope that those to whom the following does not apply will pardon my using this means of attempting to contact some of the very talented young people I believe are lurking on this list. I can't think how else tor each them. (Serious suggestions welcome).

I'm working on a project with a group of other "Silver-haired" consultants in connection with a major upcoming event. None of us is receiving any salary for our involvement, simply expenses if we have to travel or cover any out of pocket expenditure. We have all held Board or senior management positions in companies that have been or are quoted on the London Stock Exchange or one of the other major world exchanges and are running, or have run, our own businesses. We know what we are about. Now we have spotted an opportunity to "give something back". At the moment the project is in the concept stage but starting to gain momentum, so here's a chance for the young and entrepreneurial to get involved right at the beginning in something truly exciting that doesn't come along too often. (OK, everyone says that - but this opportunity last occurred over 50 years ago!)

The Directors (of whom I am one) have taken a Board decision that first of all we are going to give the opportunity to young entrepreneurs to produce all our designs for us, as the established design agencies don't, we believe, have the flair and vision needed - we want young thinkers that haven't yet become indoctrinated with corporate rules and the cry "that's the way we've always done it".

Are there any designers (or parents or relations of same) on this list that meet the following criteria?

1) You must be a UK resident (Sorry - but that's a requirement imposed on us - don't even bother responding if you aren't)
2) You must be under 25 years of age
3) You must be self-employed or about to be
4) You must have solid web development experience capable of producing an e-commerce web site that will have to be in at least two and probably four or five languages and scalable to grow as the project develops. We anticipate very significant daily usage - hits of up to 100,000 per day a year or so after launch. (Examples of work completed and references will be required and taken up). 5) You need to be available for a long-term involvement of at least eight years, not necessarily full time from the start but developing to that. 6) Reward will be discussed but our ideas are as revolutionary as the concept of the whole project - and flexible! 7) You will be required to sign a legally binding confidentiality agreement before more information is disclosed.

If you meet the above criteria, please email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] for a copy of the Confidentiality Agreement and after receiving that from you with a comprehensive CV I can provide more data.

There will be other design work for products and graphic design as well as web to be done, so if you feel you don't meet the web design standard but have design skills, you can still apply.

If anyone has a son or daughter or knows of a young person that might qualify, they can still apply, as can undergraduate designers for the second part above - but probably not for the web sector of the project.

Thank you all - I look forward to being overwhelmed by the responses!

Peter MacGregor
