Try a program like Mailwasher, which checks your
mailbox without downloading all the
messages. Then you can delete the obvious junk,
rebound it to the source, or download and read, at your plreasure.

Agree with that 100% Peter. In as far as can be told in a casual glance,
every day the overwhelming majority of my spam is from Russia.
Which brings me on to a pet hate. They're (spammers in general, not just the
Russians) starting to include images with the mails now. I'm on dial up
here. It's bad enough polluting my happiness with your 'communications',
without chewing up my precious bandwidth too!
