Except that with a VPC you don't need to reboot in-between. I had IE 7 beta in a VPC and IE 6 in my primary XP install but I've mostly been working on my Vista partition and using my Mac's VPC to test IE 6 while I'm over testing Safari, etc. in OS X 10.4.
