Would 'GROUP BY' be any different.. responce time wise?

i think that's apples and oranges

its purpose is different -- you would use GROUP BY only in those cases where you are producing aggregate rows

no, you'd be better off working on your own data

i can give you challenges, though -- how many products are available in both small red and extra large blue?

if you don't have any "small red" and "extra large blue" products, pick any other pair of double size/colour criteria
