Quoting Peter MacGregor <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Anyone any experience of the Thunderbird OS Email program?
Comments - Good Bad or Indifferent welcome. I'm happy with Firefox and
am very tempted.
It's all I've used for the last few years. If you use the
calendar/contacts/to-do functions of Outlook, then you might be worth
looking elsewhere or downloading the plugins, otherwise it beats
look-out distress (Outlook Express) hands-down. For ages now it's
been advising me that links in scam/phising emails don't point to the
URLs they say they do (something that only now IE7 is doing) and it
automatically marks emails as junk with about a 98% sucess-rate. It
also marks emails as Scams and only loads images when you want it to.
It's also not based on IE, so it's not vulnerable to the same issues
as Outlook.[1]
HTH,
Matt

[1] Not that it is completely impervious to attack, it just happens
less often (i've let to see a virus that targets it specifically...)
