We have a Windows 2003 SBS domain so everyone has to login if they want to get to the printers or on the internet but I knew there was a way. Back when I used a desktop and we used peer to peer (prehistoric times) I would disable the login but my kids weren't using computers then except an old Mac and it was not on the peer to peer network anyway. Now they can play games and go on the net (after asking - if they get caught on the net w/o asking first they loose computer privileges which includes the playstation as well) and their accounts are locked out of file sharing.
One of these days they may know more about computer than I do but it isn't going to happen anytime soon. <g> Cheryl D Wise MS MVP FrontPage http://by-expression.com Online instructor led training http://starttoweb.com -----Original Message----- From: Joseph Harris Thank you Cheryl. I was getting desperate enough to go down the route of yet another program to install and forget. But I have just tinkered and found my way to >control panel>user accounts; and by unticking everything I could see I have got rid of what may be a very useful screen to some... but, as Cecil B de Mille said, count me out.
