My old Toshiba Satellite A20 is supposed to have a Wireless card inside. Actually it's hard-disk crashed and I got the hard-disk replaced. In between I purchased a new HP laptop (Centrino Duo etc.) that comes with WiFi and all; so I thought maybe I'll connect both the laptops wirelessly. The installation CD of the old Toshiba has a Wireless card driver, but it fails to install it. Even when I check the Network Adaptors (Control Panel -> System -> Hardware Devices) the wireless network card is not visible. Could there be a chance that the card is there but I'm not able to see it? Even the PDF manual says I should have it. There is even a switch that lets me switch the wireless feature on/off :-). I'd really appreciate if anybody has an idea and can share it with me.
