But you can stream usually to other Windows PCs to watch across the network using plain on Windows Media Player. I had a problem with a video card that wouldn't playback Windows Media (I could record w/o problem but something about the card misidentified itself to the OS - very weird) anyway I would record using Windows Media Center and watch using Windows Media Player but that was a few years ago.
